# In The Footsteps of History > In The Footsteps of History is an immersive Social Studies and English Language Arts (ELA) curriculum for Grades 3-11. Each program follows a real explorer through documentary film, virtual-reality field trips, interactive 3D maps and classroom games. It was founded by Emmy-nominated filmmaker and explorer Denis Belliveau. Teacher accounts are free and unlimited; student licenses are paid and can be purchased at district, school, grade or class level. Subjects: Social Studies, World History, Geography, and ELA. Grade range: 3-11 (scaffolded). Standards: aligned to United States state social-studies standards and the NCSS framework. Delivery: web-based, works on standard classroom devices, with optional VR.
